Harry turns 5

Ferg was in Seattle for work in February this year, but I still went to Queensland to celebrate Harry's 5th birthday.

He got a new drum set from us & his parents and held his party with friends at the bowling alley.

New beginnings

IBack to work at Arctic Blue Marketing on 13th January for one last week then off to my new job at JPS Marketing with a trip to New Zealand on 21st January.

Queensland for Christmas

Ferg's mum Sheelah came down under for the summer. We spent a lovely Christmas with nearly all the family (our brother David didn't come up this year) and both dogs Beau & Dakoda.

Then back to Sydney in time to watch the famous New Years Eve fireworks.

Family Milestones

Our beautiful niece Alexis turned 7 on 26th August 2013 ... hard to believe how grow up she is now.

A week later, our darling brother turned 30 on 1st September. Sylvia, Harry & Alexis came from Queensland to celebrate.

And as it's been a while since all us kids were together, we also got some professional photos done.

Christmas Cards 2013

This is now our fourth Christmas back in Sydney. I have managed to make this year's Christmas Cards from my never ending stash of scrapbook papers and haven't bought anything new in that time. I think I'll still be able to make next year's as well.

A weekend at the Hunter

Celebrating Ferg's 40th birthday quietly, with a weekend trip to the Hunter on 9-10th November. staying at our favourite place Bimbadeen Estate.

Paper Craft Festival fun ...

Yesterday saw myself, my sister Natalie and my friend Jean attend the Paper Craft Festival in Penrith.  It was Nat's first time at one of these shows and we had a lot of fun browsing the wares.

We did a class with the lovely Rachel Greig and created these amazing mini tag books.  We managed to get two completed in around 2 hours ... I was thrilled, as it takes me forever to complete unfinished class projects once I get home.

This Sydney book has already found a new home as we had Ferg's cousins Dearbhaile and Ciara with Gus come to stay with us for a week and this little book was the perfect gift to remember their trip to Sydney.

Nat & I also did a make and take with Michaela Laurie (http://www.paperquiltcreations.com) and created a very cute paper quilt luggage tag ... we even sewed it ourselves!

Spending time with Family

For the first time in years we managed to get a photo of mum, dad & the kids.

Sylvia, Dave, Alexis & Harry stayed from 23rd December until 4th January and it was nice to spend time with them again. We had a BBQ the night before they left with the whole family and Dave's mum Yvonne plus Tante Annie, Barbara and Ian plus the Germans ... Theresa & Marcus.
